Denise Bechtloff is the owner and founder of Alternative Touch. The small wellness clinic began in 1998 and slowly grew from a home based business, to a strip mall to its current location in the heart of Beaumont. Atouch has gone through many phases over the past 27 years. Growing, learning and constantly evolving to keep up with progressive demands that owning a small business brings, Denise decided to alter the busy clinic once more! Housing 10 therapists, the clinic is now called Alternative Touch Professional Center. The decision was brought upon partly due to the current events of the world. Covid has struck down many a good business and in order to help keep all therapists thriving, each are now independent within the center. This means EACH therapist is their own boss with complete control over their own funds/costs and decisions in running their practice, Denise (Queen Of Mean) included. The therapists all look forward to continuing their exemplary service to the most important people of all, you! We could not have accomplished this all without you and we look forward to seeing you soon!

We strive for the utmost cleanliness in the center. Tables, floors, door knobs (everything in the room) are disenfected in between clients. Cleaning is done each am and pm throughout the clinic and once weekly professionally cleaned in the entire building including walls and windows. All clients are required to wear a mask and provide covid pre-screening as well as temperature check upon arrival.

We provide heated tables & complimentary aromatherapy healing topicals such as Japanese mint oil and china gel with our massage therapy services if you would like (inform us if you have would like something specific). Please note: Some of our therapists have sensitivities to aromatherapy and may not be able to offer this for you. Please inquire ahead of time to be sure:)

Brette has been a massage therapist since 2016 and an acupuncturist since 2019, graduating from MacEwan University.
Although she is no longer accepting new massage therapy patients, she’ll still be utilizing her knowledge and skills in her acupuncture treatments. She’s always been drawn to Chinese Medicine and was fascinated by its history and approach to wellness. Going through the acupuncture program gave her a better understanding of the human body through a different lens and that there’s always something new to learn. She specializes in treatment of pain, involving musculoskeletal conditions and repetitive strain/overuse injuries. She has done supplemental training with the sports medicine acupuncture program, which focuses on advanced needling techniques, orthopedic testing and a broader knowledge on how acupuncture can help improve overall outcomes. She looks forward to working with you!

​Heather has been a RMT for over a decade and a half, and she spent the first part of her career working in a physiotherapy clinic. In order to better treat her patients, Heather has continued to grow and expand her treatment knowledge, taking courses in Lymphatic Drainage; which reduces swelling, while improving the immune system, Myofascial Cupping; which reduces fascial restrictions allowing for improved range of motion, a TMJ course which expanded on her knowledge of jaw work including intra oral massage, a technique used to help relieve headaches along with pain and stiffness in the neck and jaw, Kinetic Massage; a technique that combines joint movement and massage strokes to improve range of motion, and most recently Heather has completed both AIRPWT® Shockwave Therapy level 1 and level 2 in order to better incorporate shockwave therapy into her treatments. Radial shockwave is a non-invasive treatment that uses sound waves to stimulate blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue healing. All of these techniques allow Heather to personalize each massage to match the treatment goals of her patients.

Sydney specializes in deep tissue and relaxation, with a strong focus on addressing chronic, stubborn injuries and supporting long-term recovery. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to meet the individual needs of her clients, blending therapeutic precision with intuitive care.
She offers hot stone massage and hot oil scalp treatments, enhancing relaxation while promoting circulation, stress relief, myofacial cupping and deeper therapeutic results. Sydney is dedicated to creating a calm, grounding environment where clients can fully unwind while their bodies do the work of healing.
Her goal is for every client to leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and more connected to their body, empowered in their journey toward improved health and mobility.

Stacey is a 2020 graduate of Vicars School of Massage. WIth continuing education, she has expanded her knowledge in Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), Dynamic and Fire Cupping, RAPID Neurofascial Reset, Hot Stone massage and Shockwave Therapy. Whether you’re looking for a relaxation or therapeutic deep tissue massage, you’ll be in good hands with this therapist. Stacey is an advocate for healthy living through fitness and nutrition - encouraging those around her to think well, eat well and live well, in order to BE WELL. She believes massage therapy is value added to your overall health.
Angela has been a registered Massage therapist for 9 years. She provides deep tissue massages and works with deeper muscles to get to the root of the problem. She also provides relaxation massages but prefers to work with Therapeutic techniques. Angela is an empathic person and enjoys working with an empathic approach. Prior to massage she worked as a mental health nurse for 10 years and then did 7 years as a home care nurse working with dementia patients and palliative and hospice care. As a lover of massage she decided to quit nursing and extended her education into massage therapy graduating from Makami College in 2016. She has also extended her education and completed her course in Canada Master pedicure with NASP. Specializing in foot care with seniors and ingrown toenails and reconstruction of the toe nails. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her children. Angela enjoys traveling, especially to Mexico and Florida. But her favorite spot is the mountains.

Denise is the proud founder of Alternative Touch Therapeutic Professional Center (est 1998). Denise has been a full time, registered massage therapist for 27 years, Esthetician for 15 years and permanent makeup tattoo artist for the past 18 years. Her journey started as an interior decorator and although fun, was not a fulfilling career. Life lead her to massage therapy and after completing a year at Grant McEwan and another at The Edmonton College of Massage, a new found love for helping heal others was formed!
Recently Denise has decided to take on a new endeavor and created "The Queen of Mean Corrective Healing" (est 2019). Basically a journey set out on her own so that she can focus on what she loves, actual treatments! Her focus is medically minded massage for treatment and rehabilitation using firm pressure and added pin point deep therapy. Still the owner of the Alternative Touch Professional Center, Denise will be offering her wide variety of services in the lower level of the building.
Denise has always continued to upgrade her education and attends yearly massage conferences.
